There are many styles of water beds to choose from when a consumer is in the market for beds. When an average person thinks of water beds, automatically the person thinks of the water filled mattress. Another choice is the regular outline mattress with water filled tubes filling the middle of the bed. No matter which water beds are being compared there are several disadvantages to sleeping in water beds.
The first disadvantage is the weight of water beds. Water filled mattresses are very heavy, if the home that holds the water bed is not made of the best structure there can be terrible results of owning water beds. One is typically, the floor will not hold the weight and the bed could fall through the floor causing a terrible mess.
Another disadvantage is in the event of a leak. For many reasons a water filled mattress water bed can spring a leak, resulting in water everywhere. Water filled mattress water beds hold a large amount of water. Cats are ranked number one for the cause of a water bed springing an unexpected leak. If the hole is rather small, most water bed mattresses are designed to allow the water to escape at a reduced rate leaving noticeable evidence on the bedding.
Another disadvantage of owning and sleeping in water beds on a daily basis, is the extreme amount of work changing the bedding. Unlike normal hospital cornered bed sheets, water bed sheets are sewn at the bottom and usually require two people to complete the bedding transfer, which can be a royal pain in the butt for the independent individual. Hanging the clean bedding on the clothesline to dry can also be a disadvantage because of the extreme amount of room on the clothesline this bedding takes.
How can you decorate your home with almost no budget? As in literally not even having a spare $20 for new furnishings? Sure, you have the basic necessities like a bed, sofa and dining table set. But like any other homeowner, you would want your house to look and feel more like a home.
It’s not so much about stuffing your home with too many objects. More often, this idea makes a home too crowded and cluttered with unnecessary (and unattractive) items. You can still decorate your home and make it better with a few but essential pieces. Of course, these items being pretty and interesting won’t hurt either.
A great tip and one that’s super friendly on the budget is to decorate with plants. That’s right! You’re not only adding colors and shapes with plants, but the additional supply of oxygen will make your home feel and smell cleaner. Indeed, a natural cleanser.
Often, your friends are going to be willing to offer you starts from their own interior plans. You’ll just have to pay a few dollars for some potting soil, and hit a few garage sales for containers.
Plants will look more interesting and decorative, which is beneficial for your home with funky containers or pots. Believe it or not, bowls, figurines, cups and decorative boxes are all candidates as eye-catching pots.
How cool is that?! With very little to spend, you’ll have instant home decors that are not only refreshing to have but unique too.
While you’re on a lookout for plants and containers, include other decors as well. Thrift stores and yard sales offer opportunities for one-of-a-kind items. You know what they say – one man’s trash can be another’s treasure. So keep your eyes open.
If there’s one thing that you shouldn’t feel bad splurging on, it’s area rugs. These floor accessories make amazing decorations and not just practical floor coverings. If you’re really strict with your budget, there are also area rugs that cater to the most limited of budgets without sacrificing quality.
